Maple Spring Trail
Sargent Mountain
Length: 2.1 miles from the parking pull off on Route 198/3 to the intersection of the Sargent Mountain South Ridge Trail
Difficulty Rating: Moderate/Strenuous
The Maple Spring Trail is initially fairly level with challenging terrain such as small boulders and exposed roots. At .3 miles the trail crosses a carriage road at Hemlock Bridge. The trail then follows a stream for approximately the next mile. The Trail moves back and forth across the stream, passing under the Hemlock Bridge. Stonework borders the stream in some places.
The trail moves out of the stream gully and onto ledge, gaining some elevation before leveling out into a wet area, where the trail travels by the Maple Spring. The trail connects with the Sargent Mountain South Ridge Trail .3 mile from the summit.
