Hadlock Brook Trail
Sargent Mountain
Length: 1.7 miles from the parking pull off on Route 198/3 to the intersection of the Sargent Mountain South Ridge Trail
Difficulty Rating: Moderate/Strenuous
The Hadlock Brook Trail begins on fairly level but uneven ground. Many small boulders and roots make hiking more difficult. Once the trail crosses the carriage road at .2 mile in, the trail slowly gains elevation as it intersects and then follows the Hadlock Brook.
The trail crosses another carriage road approximately .8 mile form the trail head at the Waterfall Bridge. The trail follows the brook for another .3 mile, then becoming steeper and changing to more rocky and granite terrain. The trail intersects with the Sargent Mountain South Ridge Trail .5 mile from the summit.
