Grandgent Trail
Sargent Mountain
Length: 1.0 mile from the Parkman Mountain summit to the Sargent Mountain summit
Difficulty Rating: Moderate/Strenuous
The Grandgent Trail connects the peaks of Parkman, Gilmore and Sargent Mountains. As the trail leaves the Parkman summit and heads east toward Gilmore Peak, it drops quickly over difficult terrain including rocks and roots. It crosses the Giant Slide trail at a low point and then begins a sharp ascent toward Gilmore Peak. The trail opens up near the summit of Gilmore Peak and then drops again as it approaches the junction with the Maple Spring Trail. It then climbs steadily to the summit of Sargent Mountain.
